How to Transfer Google Business Profile Ownership

Only the current primary owner can do this.

| 3. Wait 7 days | – | – |
| 4. Transfer ownership | Current primary owner | People and access → Transfer ownership |
| 5. Remove old owner (optional) | New primary owner | People and access |
What If I’m Selling My Business?
Transfer the profile instead of creating a new one. The reviews and ranking history stay with the listing. Update the business name, phone number and website only if they really change, and make the edits slowly to avoid triggering re-verification.
What If the Current Owner Is Unreachable?
Use Request access from the profile. If they don’t respond, Google may let you verify and take ownership. See how to remove an owner.
